We are very excited to announce the appstats widget, a new element on the Application and Threat Research Center.

The appstats widget shows the 5 most frequently used applications across 8 different categories: browser-based file sharing, P2P, Webmail, Circumventors, proxies, remote access, social networking and photo-video. The widget automatically scrolls and by clicking on the bar chart a user can learn more about the application or be directed to the latest reports.

The data refreshes every day. It is sourced from the AVR report uploads that have occurred over the last 14 days. No one has anything like this: Stats based on real data, in near real time.

As well, Palo Alto Networks can conduct an application visibility and risk analysis for your business using the Palo Alto Networks next generation firewall. Powered by three unique technologies, App-ID, User-ID and Content-ID, the Palo Alto Networks next-generation firewall provides visibility into, and control over the applications, users and content traversing the network.
